……an after-school drama camp for youth and young adults!
Coming to a school near you this fall!
We take Shakespeare off the pages and put it on its feet! We get to know the characters, themes, and setting, and speak the language until it feels natural to students, even if they have never read Shakespeare before. Working with Shakespeare the way that Shakespeare would have intended — as actors!
Over an 3 month period once a week at each school NVSF teaching artists cover a variety of topics around Shakespeare’s life and work, plays (frequently in your school’s curriculum) and sonnets — acting, dancing, and stage combat – you name it. We give students a fresh and comprehensive connection to Shakespeare’s world that will enrich their encounters with his work for life!
This camp is designed to inject vibrant, active exercises into lessons that unlock the text, themes, and actions of a Shakespeare play. At the end of the session, we will put on a showcase for the whole school, friends and families!

CAMP BILL!

... a shakespeare summer camp for youth!
Camp Bill is a unique theatre camp experience for youth ages 8-18. Campers will combine voice, movement, dance, puppetry, stage combat and text, as well as incorporate exercises used by the Royal Shakespeare Company. There will be a “share and tell” at the end of the session for an invited audience, as well as the incredible opportunity to develop and perform before the Nittany Valley Shakespeare Festival Production in August. No acting experience is necessary and all skill levels are welcome!
